Well...my whole family rushed to Boston last Monday as my sister took a turn for the worse. Her heart output was at 10% and they were trying to get her into surgery to do a tracheostomy so that they could get the tube out of her mouth. They finally did that on the Tuesday. It was very touch-and-go, but she's slowly getting better. Her heart output is now at 45%. She was off the ventilator for 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. They think that the H1N1 was the cause of her heart problem
That, along with her advanced ALS, is what almost killed her. But my sis is a fighter. That, her family and community, and your prayers and thoughts are what are pulling her through this.
