Update on my topic about HOF for Obstacle Driving

I got ahold of AMHR to talk to them seeing if Obstacle Driving counted for any HOF points. It does not. I told them that it needs to be worded different because it is misleading to say Obstacle and not Halter Obstacle. I feel like Obstacle Driving should be counted towards HOF. She said I can go to my director and all that, but I have no clue how to even start trying to make it a HOF class.

I did not realize it wasnt' included. Checked my mares results from 2005 and sure enough, no HOF for even 1st place.

It has become a very important driving class for me and I'm with you for making it a HOF class.

Hopefully someone knows how we can get this on a vote to the members?

See thats what gets me even more irritated is the fact that some thought it was included, and I do not see it at all mentioned in the rulebook that it isn't included. Thats why I really wanted my boy to get the best training he can get to finish up his HOF in Obstacle, or now should I say Halter Obstacle :no:

I just started obstacle driving this year, I think its alot of fun, and your horse defintelly needs to have the trust in you. More than halter obstacle IMO.

This is Sawyer's dad borrowing his log in. I would suggest you call back AMHR headquarters and ask if anything can be done about this issue during the AMHR convention in Reno. I would support it, though you might be told it had to be submitted as a rule change by the July deadline for rule changes.
