I don't know about "odd", but I don't see many "Sonya"'s (my name)...if I do they are usually spelled different and usually pronounced differently. I do not pronounce my name like "Sonia Hennings" (I think that's how she spells her name).

My fathers name is "Olie" - not pronounced like "Ollie"

Sweedish names!

I was talking to some guy on Yahoo Messanger this morning named 'Wilmer'.

We named Loren after my grandfather, Loren. His name is Loren Ingvauld!! Yikes!! So, we named Loren, after my gramps, and his middle name is Michael, after his daddy's middle name. No way would I have stuck my baby with a name like Ingvauld!!

Weird names, try out these. My great uncle, Napolean Bonaparte Stratton, another uncle, Andrew Jackson Stratton, and my grandfather, Get this,

Abraham Lincoln Stratton.

Now there are others, but all along those lines.

"Aunt Icy" reminds me of my mom's "Auntie Peaches."

MiniV, oh my gosh that's BAD! LOL. One of my college professors related the tale of a student he once had named Tom Kat (said the guy loved his name, his dad had flown a fighter plane by that name, etc.). But it gets worse...he married a girl named Kittie! That's right: Tom and Kittie Kat.

He also had a student named Pepper. Yep...Pepper Ohni. Poor girl. Do parents think these names are funny or something?
