the bad news - there was no show photographer to capture photos of our great weekend : )

Went to the MMHC show in Winona this weekend. Showed my 3 year old under CWP mare for the 2nd time ever showing in harness (first time 3 weeks ago, no placings). I just started her this spring. She won under 2 of the 3 judges in Amateur and Open, then won the Stakes under 2 of 3 judges!!! I was literally shaking - I had gone in just hoping to get a ribbon this time. 8-9 horses per class, good competition too! I was so happy with her!

Then my son took his over CWP mare in - she got 1 first in Youth, then 2 firsts in Open, then won the stakes class under all 3 judges!!!!

- Thanks Adam Longman for some incredible between class coaching

WOW! I'm so proud of my son and both our horses! And maybe a little proud of myself, since I trained both of the horses!

(Thanks for letting me brag, think I finally came back down to earth now)

Congratulations!! There were a lot of really amazing horses there so you should be very proud. I was there as well (with that naughty black leopard colt that kept everyone entertained lol)-i will have to stop by and say hi next time as I don't believe I got to meet you.

Great job again!

I remember him : )

Heard your name announced and kept meaning to get over to say hi, but you know how that goes. . . thanks, we're very happy. . . this was our last "big" show of the year, but now am really looking forward to next year!

Glad you had fun and had a good show. I wanted to go just to visit but the flu hit the family so we had other plans.

Congratulations! You should be very proud...of your horses, your son and yourself! And Adam is always so helpful and willing to share his knowledge.

Congrats on your wonderful results. Pity there was nobody to take a picture to capture it.

Yes, especially since it was our first ever Stakes win - for either myself or my son or either horse! We will just have to get lots of pictures next time I guess : )

I had a camera there, but was so excited after my class that I didn't even think of a standing picture with her ribbons - then was so nervous for my son didn't even think of getting pics of him either - just kind of got "scatter- brained" after that first win

So it took a while, but finally went to a show where a friend could take pictures!

Didn't get any good ones of my son's mare, but here is my little "Tango" - we keep working on extension, she keeps getting better and better! (Sorry for the blurry picture, we were supposed to show in the nice big "main" arena, but due to rain, we had to shift arenas.)
