We all love the Discovery channel

24 is the one I just can't miss. We're waiting on pins and needles for the new season to start in a couple of months.

I also like Globe Trekker, Desperate Housewives, Stargate SG1, and 2000 Acres of Sky. We also like the ones we call "the crying shows"; Extreme Home Makeover and Three Wishes.

Right now I just can't miss Survivor but when Big Brother is on I can't miss it! Others that are favorites are 21/2 Men, Yes Dear, and most anything that comedy.

I watch quite a few shows but the ones I have to watch each week are:

One Tree Hill

Wildfire

Everwood

Two and a half men, Yes Dear, Still Standing, Amazing Race, NCIS, America's Next Top Model, Survivor, Big Brother, American Idol(pretty much any reality tv), Three wishes, Extreme Home Makeover, Desperate Housewives, different shows on MTV, TLC(especially, clean sweep). Daytime TV- Regis and Kelly, Martha Stewart(some of her shows are

pretty interesting), Ellen, Starting Over, and one soap Days of Our Lives.

I really want TIVO for Christmas.

Wow do I feel out of touch, I have never seen most of the shows that you guys all like. The only show I try to never miss is McCloeds Daughters,

its on "WE" Saterday nights.

OHHH i forgot some

Smallville (of course) .....WILDFIRE (dieing for new episodes)

and Blue Color TV!

for some reason i still have a thing for Buffy the Vampire Slayer!

I love TV, too! My "can't miss" show WAS "NYPD Blue"; nowadays, it's kind of a toss-up between "Lost" and "Cold Case Files". I also like all the CSIs, except Miami; ER, Medium, House(it's an "eccentric doctor solves impossible cases"

show on Fox on Tuesday nights, REO!), Law and Order SVU,Surface-and if possible, I'll likely watch the other Law and Orders, and NCIS. I watch a LOT of the shows on Animal Planet, especially the "animal cop" shows-our(my daughter, who is here every second weekend, usually-and I)favorite is the one from Houston, then the one from NYC. I also watch a lot of things on the Discovery Channel and TLC, Discovery Health, A&E, and TNT, along with things like "Sell This House", "Flip This House", "Find and Design"-and some of the things on the BBC in America network. Occasionally, I watch something horse-oriented on RFD-TV-Rural Heritage is often fun, and Horse Babies. I have never given a fig for watching sports, either in person or on TV, so one of the best days of my life was when we got a second TV, so I didn't have to listen to screaming crowds sounds in my family room most of every weekend!! Now, I'm SO grateful for satellite, and all of those choices that the networks don't offer!

(On the down side--how many have noticed how many more commercials there are these days? I started keeping track; it's now up to nearly a THIRD of the time of each network show, at least on the most popular shows! Thank goodness for the 'mute' button-and for the book I always keep on the lamp table by my chair!!)

I have passed by this thread since it started but have decided to jump on the band wagon! I dont watch much t.v. - no cable, no dish and only get about three channels....The two shows I do love though are reruns - Fraser and Everybody Loves Ramond. If I had a choice of other programs - I always loved documentarys. THERE - that's my exiting list!! Lori

I have started watching a lot more TV since we got Tivo. I'm usually doing something else and I used to miss a lot. ( I used to leave the room for a second to get something and then forget I was watching a show) but now I can just rewind back and see what I missed.

My favorites-

Grays Anatomy

Desperate Housewives

Boston Legal

Commander in Chief

Law and Order

Close to Home

Curb Your Enthusiasm

Two and a Half Men

CSI

I do not watch TV per se but I do tape some stuff to watch later.

Home and Away- I've watched this since the characters that are now grandparents were at school!!!

ER (which is not on at the mo so PLEASE do not tell me what is happening!!)

Casualty (British ER- very good- NO-ONE shouts- if you ever get a chance watch it- it is the EPITOME of British "cool" "Well, Tess, I've never tried to resuscitate a baby that has been in a freezer for four hours before, and I don't think it's ever been done, but I'm going to give it a jolly good try" All this whilst an ambulance crew is prising a man of a set of iron railings and someone else is correctly diagnosing a rare case of pinkingtons syndrome!!!If only the NHS were really this good!!)

Lost, but I'm getting BORED and I am actually thinking of asking them to drop the whole cast on a real island and leave them there!!

Stargate, but, again, I am losing interest.

HEX- that I like.

Bleak House- Yes, Dickens!!! Been adapted as a serial, with Gillian Anderson in lead. It is also set in St.Albans where I live, but for some reason the BBC decided to shoot it in- well, it looks like Dorset.....AGAIN!!!

Blessed- a MANIC show with Ardal O'Hanlon as a father of two babies- I will roll on the floor laughing at this one.

Last of the Summer Wine- it has to end soon, but it is still good.

I also watch my local news every evening.

Very few people get shot in East Anglia, which suits me fine
