Oh my goodness these girls of ours REALLY need to get foaling.

I'm sleep deprived watching the following mares:

Alamos Sirs Splendid Tierra: 343 days with a hard bag

Alamos Sirs Elegant Fawn: Approximately 320 days and no bag

Alamos Sirs Diamond Allure: 319 days just started a bag within the last two days

Pine Ridge Minis Cloud Dancer: 331 days with a decent size bag

Allure's Ultimate Desire: 320 days no bag and a maiden mare

Hallmarks Boomers Bacall: 319 days just started a bag over night

Hallmarks Boomers Bianca: 320 days with a slight bag

Moss Grove Little Pocahontas: 325 days with a decent bag

Moss Grove Summer Breeze: 324 days and I don't dare touch her bag. I'm not thrilled about getting kicked. Ha!

But if all goes as planned she always foals out on the same exact day as "Bacall" every year.

No foal alert or camera's here just plenty of coffee/soda's to keep me awake. Before you know it the next group of mares will be ready. I'm beginning to think that there all going to foal out on EASTER DAY....

Who are you watching and how do you pass the time?

OMG Kimberle.......You just gotta get a LIFE!!!!
default_biggrin.png

(Even when we had up to 20 mares, we NEVER had them all stacked up and due so close! God bless you!)

Here at MiniV we are experiencing the typical......... We have one particular mare who was the first to start bagging up so we began watching her the closest. (This happens EVERY YEAR.) In the MEAN TIME, we have had four OTHER mares pass her by and foal out!
default_rolleyes.gif

So......here we are still watching the ORIGINAL gal......
default_smile.png

Plus we have seven more waiting in the wings.

Same here, massive sleep deprivation. I thought I spaced mine out adequately but I guess not. Maiden mare is first, she is at 337 days, waiting on 4 other within next 11 days. They all are huge but not much udder development for now, except one mare who is bagged, then 2 other mares about a month later, thank goodness for that. We do have cameras, baby monitors, lights, breeder alert, Need I say more.

They are exhausting me already.

Why is it every night I watch I think this is IT. Tonight's the night.

All in due time I guess.

Waiting impatiently!!!!

Barb

Mine is just now under lights and camera. I am still considering Marestare. BUT, my Siamese likes to watch Missy on the barncam tv we set up. She keeps me up by making me laugh constantly. I have the cutest pictures of my Catstare, no Marestare, but I still can't post pictures on this site. We only have one, first, at 303 days.

We just put our foal buzzers on our 1st 2 mares last weekend

They are both bagging and at 319 & 320 days

Wolfpens Painted Lace is at 319 and her last 2 foals were born at 319
default_new_shocked.gif
but don't think she'll match that this year. can't even get any milk to test yet

Iona Farms Miss Beehavin is at 320 she lost a colt last year a breech birth at 323 She is a maiden as a mother so don't really know with her I also can't get any milk to test

Then due in April-May we have RF Bars Warrior Princess she foaled at 310 her last foal (our Perlino mare Spice) not under camera yet but hope these other 2 girls don't go too long as our camera can only cover 2 stalls

All 3 in foal to our stallion Triple Ks Boogies Bow Tie

We are fortunate to have cameras with sound = tv in the bedroom and Mare stare on the computer in the kitchen. But I'm nervous as heck anyway

So not too horribly sleep deprived yet but I'm sure its coming

I'm waiting on my last mare of the season to foal now, Redrock News Flash. She is in foal to a stallion I sold, Royal M Freckels. It should be a very colorful foal!

News Flash is looking like she might foal tonight. She has a full, tight udder and she has been pacing off and on all day. I can't wait to see this one!
default_smile.png

****** It's a filly!!!!
default_biggrin.png
Bay pinto. Foaled right after 8 pm. Thank you News Flash!

Right now I am watching Risquefishers Winter Sky, a maiden mare. She has a good sized udder, and is very loose in the hind end but has been like that for a few days now. I don't have a barn camera or anything so am sleep deprived. No coffee either as I hate the stuff. I hope she foals soon.

I'm waiting on 3, but none are very close. One is 296 days, one is 287, and one is 285. No bags, yet.

The one at 285 is the kick your head off, if you touch my belly type, so it'll be interesting to watch her (maiden, too). The one at 296 has had 4-5 foals before I got her, had one the spring after I bought her, but he didn't make it, and now hopefully this pregnancy will bring us a bouncing, healthy foal. And, the last is also a maiden, but she likes to be touched, so checking on her won't be too difficult.

Well thank goodness I'm not the only one waiting around.... I suspect that "Alamos Sir's Splendid Tierra" will probably foal out in the next day or so. Her bag isn't HUGE but it never is. However, it's extremely tight. I've been anticipating this foal. So send me some HEALTHY foal PRAYERS please....

She's the dam of "Allure's Mercedes Reign Of Fury". Of course this is his foal photo since we haven't had a chance to update our website. He's matures very nicely though and I'm excited to see what she'll give me this time.

I can't imagine! And with no cameras? You are Superwoman! LOL My maiden went 372 days last year...just saying
default_wink.png

Don't know how you do it without cameras Kimberle......your coffee must stand up and walk to the barn!

Just waiting on two at the moment, one more due end of May but I will get a break before then. These two are both due anytime and one looks like it could be tonight. (wait, didn't I say that last night......and the night before...?)

I did some catching up today - couldn't actually go to sleep but I napped for awhile this afternoon, refreshed and ready to sit and stare tonight lol.

Jan

Good lord Kimberle!!! I do not know how you do it.

And Matt...372 days????
default_new_shocked.gif
I'd forgotten that story and frankly could have gone ALL year without being reminded!

I am watching:

7S Classy Copper Lass, not owned by me but have permission to post/discuss, (day 343 today) no bag, apparently doesn't get one...lovely!!

Bar Ls Pot O Gold (day 331 today) bagged, sticky milk but still somewhat clear, test strips say not near foaling...Ugh!!!

Both are under camera. I am doing this by myself this year but I'm feeling like I'm getting it worked out and hopefully all will be ok. I can view my cameras (have 4 total but only using 2 at this time) from my computer while in the house or from work, etc. But I just got the COOLEST thing! I bought a new phone (HTC Hero - a "google" phone, not an iphone) and there is an app that I use so I can see my cams LIVE on my freakin phone! It's AWESOME!!! So, when I can't be home, I can watch anywhere and if I see something suspect I call my friend Dixi (who is very close by) and she comes to see it in person. Of course they've all been false alarms so far!! And my bf has the same phone so he watches too. I call him when I'm getting in the shower or whatever and he watches when I can't. It's worked out great so far. I also use halter buzzers which I can hear over my cams.

Up next I have:

Alamos Sirs Toffee Snow - (owned by On Target Miniatures) at 300 days on 4/10 and not showing any signs of being anywhere near ready yet which is a good thing.

Sweetwaters Golden Junie - at 300 days on 4/12 and already bagged, but she did that to me last year so I'm not worried about her.

SG Fascinating Rhythm - at 300 days on 5/18 but I'm told she foals at EXACTLY 11 months so that would put her due date at 6/22.

Shoo Fly Acres Buttercup - due on 5/18 and foaling out at Wind Flight. She's in foal to Glenns General Patton

Fortunately, my work schedule is pretty flexible and I can work from home when I need to, so it's working out.

I am now watching my first mare, with 7 more lined up to go in the next 2 to 3 weeks. We are expecting thunder storms on Friday and Saturday, so perhaps at least two will go during that time.

Sleepless nights are beginning for me.

I am waiting and watching... 4 due in March...I have 3 mares due now and only 2 cameras but all 3 have breeder alert on.

One foaled on the 18th

Angel, a maiden, is at day 334, bag has been big, now tighter... nipples are pointing down and broadening. But she is way to comfortable, SHE is sleeping great, sets the pager off MANY times a night.

Brandy is at day 324 with a big bag. Not on camera.. so when she goes down ... I have to go take a peek. But thank goodness she doesn't go flat out too often.

Ebony is at day 322 her bag has just been there for over a month... no change, easily express clear thin milk.

Angel and Brandy are in foal to our Rhotens Little Dandy Son...Vermilyeas Dandy Grand Finale should be some colorful foals with outstanding movement!

Ebony is in foal to WF Zeus Noble Cause (by little Kings Buck Zeus out of our Sids Husker Daughter/Patton Granddaughter) maybe a buckskin FILLY ??)

Sleep... what is sleep. Though yesterday when it was pouring and cold, after working outside and freezing I came in by the fire wrapped up in a blanket, turned on the pager and slept like a baby for 3 hours.

I just hope I don't ignore the pager when it goes off with a mare REALLY foaling and not sleeping.

I'm so glad to see that your back on the forum again..... I've missed your point of view on things.

What are you talking about walk to to barn. Heck I live in the barn.....just ask Bronagh and Susan. Thank goodness that Terry has covered for me in the mornings from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and a least it lets me get a little cat nap before he's out. Truth is I'm still resting with one eye open even then. Ha!
