Canada is putting on a STUNNING Show for the start of the Winter Olympics. The Native Attire is absolutley beautiful & the stamina of the dancers is amazing! I wish I could see it in person! AAAA++++ for CANADA

Yes, I watched it and although there were a few "glitches", I too thought it was AWESOME!! I really loved most of the entertainment in the opening ceremonies, and I absolutely LOVED KD Lang's, "Hallelujah".

What a tragedy about that young Georgian man (luger) that was killed on his last practice run today. So sad.

Opening ceremonies were fantastic! Great special effects, musical talent and overall very impressive.

We watched some of the opening ceremonies & shut it off because we thought it was dreadfully boring! Put it on again later to see if it had improved any & I promptly fell asleep; Mom watched the outdoor flame being lit & said that was good, but I was still sleeping at that point.

I missed the training run accident today that Mona mentioned, but did see the final round of the ski jumping. I liked the final jump made by the Austrian fellow, but he took the Bronze.

I watched some of the opening ceremonies and have watched some of the ski jumping and speed skating today. Tomorrow night is when I'll be glued as the 2 pairs of figure skaters from the US train about 10 minutes from me in Ellenton. They're wonderful - sure hope they do well.

I can't watch it right now because we dont have a working tv!!! plan to get that fixed in the next day or so, so hopefully soon. I heard the ceramonies were amazing and I actually know 3 of the drancers that were in it!!

I am cheering for Apolo Anton Ohno !!!
That was a good run...very exciting!!! I could not believe the two Korean skaters fell out of the running! Was hoping Apollo would get the gold, but silver is not bad either. He looked very strong when he made his move...then fell behind. But it all worked out in the end.

I am cheering for Apolo Anton Ohno !!!

Us, too!! And J R Celski!

Like cheering for home town hero's.

Ohno is native to the Seattle area and trained early

on in Federal Way, where we lived for 25 years.

JR Celski is from Federal Way, too.

Fun to have someone from your own area in the Olympics.

So glad to see Canada get the Gold medal ~ Alexandre Bilodeau finally ended Canada's long wait, winning the gold medal in men's moguls Sunday night to give his country a first Olympic victory on home soil.

I am watching it and am so proud of Pierre-Alexandre Bilodeau on his gold. Not only is he a fellow Canadian, he only lives about 1 1/2 hours from me in Rosemere, Quebec.
