They have 2 at the farm I work at. One for the house...big old country farm house and it keeps the whole house heated except in very extreme cold, and then they will use the furnace a bit too... And, they have one in the activity room, which is attached to the barn and greenhouse. It gets so hot...

I wanted to show you what I did to my roan filly. Here she is at about 2 weeks after I clipped that little spot. And, at a few months..at her first shedding. She looks like she has an Appy blanket in this one, but is not..she is solid black roan...just partly shed out. I do love the roans...

I believe that the papers belong to the animal...regardless of species. If the animal is already registered, it isn't costing any more for the owner to sell with the papers....the money has already been paid. If the animal is not yet registered, the buyer should have the option of papers or...

Matt, I have one that will give a dirty look (with ears pinned!) when I pour the water in his tub. He stands and watches me, then he gives the look and grabs a big ol' mouthful of snow and chews it while looking at me..as if to say "I can do it myself! " They can be such characters!

Sandee, I went back and re -read what you had written, and I misread your post the first time. I read it to say: I was originally told that silver dapple could also cause (or have) mottling and since HE was so tiny that he certainly didn't have appaloosa. ...instead of HIS, as you wrote it...

One possible reason for not finding any Appy in the background, is pintaloosas! If the ancestors were registered a pintos, and were actually pintaloosa, that could be an explanation , also . I have two pintaloosas that are registered as pinto, and they are full sisters. There dam is registered...
