That's very pretty. I love the shades of blue in it.
Oh, that is a wonderful idea! I could totally see a double or even triple circle skirt, or a gathered skirt with large godets, in gray, black, navy blue or a hunter green, and near ankle length. It sure as heck won't be cheap, but now you got my mind running. One thing I'd do was make the waist adjustable, to deal with weight fluctuations and/or allow to wear layers of clothing comfortably.I have a lovely friend who is a very talented tailor. She can sew whatever comes to her mind and makes the most divine doll clothes! She's refurbished a number of sewing machines and has graciously agreed to teach my daughter and I how to sew. I have my heart set on creating a winter riding skirt - heavy woolen fabric and a very full skirt so it will drape over a horse when in the tack, also wonderfully warm for winter driving. Now to go fabric shopping!
An investment garment for years to come.Yes! Exactly @Dreams of Ashes. I'm thinking about using a wrap around tie closure. Not buttons or velcro, just a couple of long pieces to tie together.
These are darling.I am making gnomes from pinecones.
That is so pretty.Visiting my son in Vancouver last year, I picked up some shells. Recently I saw a craft someone did using this kind of shell as a base for a Santa head. Out of the shells I had, only one seemed to lend itself. I used Paperclay to form the hat and features.
They could also be a base for gnomes, which seem to be all the rage these days.Visiting my son in Vancouver last year, I picked up some shells. I didn't see any name on the post. Guess it got shared so often the original artist is lost. With the right tools, I could probably paperclay some of the other shells, but I don't know how to sculpt that well. The shell Santas are have an Olde World look to them - very cute!
I wonder who the clever person was to pick up a shell and see a Santa?!
Wow! very prettyPretty sure she won't see it here, so will post a gift I made, and already shipped, so it can be used this year:
What a gorgeous, intricate design!Pretty sure she won't see it here, so will post a gift I made, and already shipped, so it can be used this year:
Very nice. Merry Christmas!A tree I made using the top of our Christmas tree from last year. I removed the branches, then drilled holes and added some faux branches from a tree I found at the thrift store.
My husband gets cranky every Christmas, so it makes me generally stressed. I never really look forward to it anymore.
We will be seeing one son and family this year, and most of my siblings. Also attending Midnight Mass for the first time in several years.
Rusty and Billy will be enjoying extra time in the pasture while we are away. I meant to take pictures of the two of them in Santa hats, but never got around to it. Rusty is rather head shy, so not sure how he would tolerate wearing a Santa hat!
