I have a mare who is registered AMHR. For the longest time people have been telling me that she is registered with AMHA and has a pending 2004 foal.

I'm wondering if this is possible.

The mare's AMHR name is BL Hooten Hollows Bow Tie.

Her sire RH Perky Pete is registered AMHA.

Thanks.

Thank you so much!

I checked Bow's AMHR look up that somebody sent me and the only birthdate that matched was this gals:

FOAL BL HOOTEN HOLLOWS LADY BUG A 138649 05/01/2002 M PBK - RV 00.000

PARENT HOOTEN HOLLOWS LADY

Can you possibly look her up for me? Her birthdate and gender definitely match. The Dam doesn't, but then it is possible that she was hardshipped in.

What does PBK mean by the way?

PBK means Black pinto so probably not your gal.

Yeah....that and the fact that the dam would be Hooten Hollows Lady which is also RH Perky Pete's daughter........

I may have to ask the person who said that she was registered AMHA to give me a screenshot.

I have another question.

Why are some of these foals RV? I know it means revoked, but why?

I believe they put RV for the horses not brought permanent.

That makes sense.

If somebody had a horse who was not brought permanent then could they be at an older age? (Any age abov what....three or four?)

The only way your mare could be AMHA is if she was hardshipped in with a different name. Her dam isn't AMHA, the dam is out of an unregistered mare and her sire has no AMHA foals and is actually revoked in AMHA. So she isn't AMHA through regular registration. My next question would be why does she have a 2004 foal. That would make her bred as a yearling and if now 7 years later the foal is still pending, maybe it is pending because the dam isn't AMHA at all. I too would ask for the screen shot for their information.

You can bring a revoked horse permanent at anytime by paying the late fees. You would need the papers or a signed form for replacement papers, 4 current photos and the work order.

Yeah, I messaged the person about it.

Because, I owned a mare at the time the statement was made, who was registered AMHA. She did have a foal in 2004 (I think at least) but she was instead born in 1999. Not 2002.

I think it is possible though. My mare from the start (2006 with her "first") was a very good dam. Protective, yet knew what she was doing. She was also very plump like it wasn't her first. It IS possible, but I'm not sure since I have emailed her previous owners with no response back.

I am sorry to tell you but at this point the only way to register her 2011 filly in AMHA is to hardship the mare first. The AMHA studbook closes as of Dec 31, 2013 so your filly will only be two years old, she would have to be three to hardship. But if you hardship your mare now, the filly could be prodigy hardshipped for half the price. This is all depending on if the stallion is AMHA as well.

Yeah, I noticed that. Shucks.

The stallion IS AMHA registered, but not in our name. We obtained his papers but he was never transfered into our name I don't think. I'm not sure. He might be. I've never had anybody look him up. If anybody is bored they can. Dagnillos Crown Jewels. If he isn't in our name then we'd have to deal with the previous owners, and then the new owners. (he was sold after the conception of the filly, but they should have both papers (AMHR & AMHA.)

Like somebody else said, I would find it hard that my mare IS registered if her dam only had half a pedigree. (Grand-dam to my mare wasn't AMHR registered. I don't know how AMHA works with that kind of stuff though.)

That's what I thought. I didn't think we turned in a transfer paper. I wish we did though. He would have had so much more options, as would his foals.

Thanks.
