I said when we returned I would comment about the measuring. I felt that they were on the money, there were a few complaints that it was tough and they measured high. I felt my horses were measured exactly what they measured before I loaded them on the trailer (well the day before I loaded them). I thought they were very professional and did a great job!! There were no touching stretching that I saw. When I looked through the classes I didnt see any horses that I went wow hes or she is to big. So in my opinion it was very well ran, very professional, and great staff to work with. I know alot of you all were there what are your thoughts and comments???

I got to meet Parmela and for those of you that havent she is just wonderful! Hi Parmela see ya at worlds.

I wasn't there - I just wanted to say I am happy everything went so well for you and others. It feels good to hear " good" news.

As Brenda said we were there and our horses measured at OR SMALLER than what they've measured so far this year. I also noticed no horses that struck me as being too tall for the class they were in. This is probably the first show I've ever been to that I didn't personally see any horses that I knew just had to be over the height limit for the class entered. I'd say the measuring was very professional and they tried very hard to be accurate.

So now Brenda, are you going to post about how your horses did?? They aren't even my horses and I was SO happy for you I almost burst!!

Do tell!!!

Are you really surprised? With AMHA getting so attacked recently it is a wonder the measurers weren't scared completely away.

Hi Brenda & Parmela!

Was GREAT to see you guys! And Brenda had a great show!! I had a pretty good show with taking 3 Reserves home in the Amature classes...... Unfortunately I came home to a sick child & horse and still a ON GOING problem!

arh!

But as for the measuring is concerned...... I was happy with the measuring... I thought they were "on".... I do know of one horse that a couple people complained about that was too tall that should never of gotten in (from what I was told). But that was the only horse I know of and was pointed out to me.

Was a BIG show though!! Was so great to see everyone there!!

I am happy to hear the measuring saw a great improvement... Did anyone protest the horse that people thought was to big??

Now if the AMHA were to send out a memo to all clubs that the measuring must be done correctly or large finds will be imposed

maybe this issue will come to a close...

I don't think anyone was going to protest because they couldn't protest annonumously and didn't want to get flammed for being the one who protested.

I probably know what horse that is being said about, but hey one horse out of 100s pretty darn good job go amha. Im sure if someone feels its over they will protest it at the worlds. I didnt see that class so I dont know.

I do know that Parmela and I have a system worked out now when my hair is covering my number. It was hilarous! Yes I will post my results on another topic you stinker it was an awesome show for sure! Your baby did wonderful too! Calvins girlfriend Raven

Keep in mind folks that sometimes there are horses there that have been previously measured. They either have their permanent card and were measured at the first show of the year or they are working on a pink, 60 day card. I have stewarded at shows where I really would have liked to have measured several horses but they had already been measured and didn't need measuring at that show.

P.S. Congrats to all who went and had a good time!!

FYI, there are no permanant measuring cards this year so every horse has to be measured at each show it attends. And I believe that measuring cards were never good for the Championship shows anyway, only local shows.

That's only in AMHR. In AMHA the horse has to be measured every time.

Congrats to you both on your placings!

My mare measured the same in both the PtHA and AMHA shows this summer----almost two months apart iin time.

Thank you, AMHA, for a well-run, professional, and FUN show! There were several hundred horses, I think.

Great facility....great weather....great people....great vendors.....great horses....great time!!!
