I'm looking forward to it

. Does anyone happen to know if Desperate Housewives is a rerun or new? I'm guessing rerun but just want to make sure. Oh, what time does Commanche Moon start and what channel?

Desperate Housewives was new last week so my guess is that it'll be new this week too.

Thank you for the reminder!!!

Not bad, but sure doesn't come close to being as good as Lonesome Dove. Maybe it will pick up a little in the next episode.

Not diggin' it as much as I'd hoped.

I am surprised, though, at how much I like Steve Zahn as Gus. Noone can compare, though, to Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones in these roles.

Lonesome Dove is one of my favorite books of all time. The tv series was pretty good, and this latest one just isn't "there" for me, for a lot of reasons.

I am happy to see a Western on tv, though.

My first reaction too...however as time went on I started to warm up to Zahn as Gus. At first I was nit picking at how much he was trying to "act" like Robert Duvall, but I can see a good resemblance especially in his voice.....and mannerisms...not so much looks, nor does he have Duvall's sex appeal. Whoever is playing the part as Woodro (I forget now) is doing a good job too. I'm hoping it'll start building up in intensity....Lonesome Dove started out a bit slow at first too. (I'm so glad I just purchased the mini series on DVD this past holiday season!)

SO remembr..Idol starts tomorrow night...there will be a conflict in times I imagine...so I'll be taping Idol.

We taped it, as a long distance phone call came in, just as it started.

We'll do the same with the rest of it.....

Michael watched the rest of it.....I watched for a bit and decided it was

to gory for me.....and went and read a book....

I loved Lonesome Dove - maybe they should have done this prequel first....

rather than trying to make the pieces, fit in retrospect.

I've kept from comparing it to Lonesome Dove; knowing that I would be disappointed if I did.

All in all, I am enjoying it! Looking forward to more!

We were all very disaapointed and actually could not watch any more of it after the first hour, had to turn it off. Acting was bad, writing was poor, just all around not good. Too bad, we were looking forward to it.

Anyone wanting to watch a good western, go rent or buy 3:10 to Yuma! I LOVED that movie! :D

I do like how they portray the indians. I think the scene with the attack on the town was realistic.
