We got an inch of rain yesterday and more coming today. Have to keep the horses in as it comes down hard and there is standing water everywhere. Then the wind blows like crazy. This weather stinks. Can't really do much without being soaked thru.

I turned the light on and went in to feed the girls last night and this is what Ariel looked like

A true look of "Did you hear that". Yep it's the tarp on the roof sure hope it's still there today. That's on my list of todos put a new roof on their barn and new outside walls.

What I really would like to do is build a long barn with two big stalls across the back and get rid of the two smaller ones. That way they could all be together in the one barn. They would be alot happier if they were all together at night. Right now it's girls in one and boys in the other.

I can identify and sympathize with your situation.

We are in Northern California and being hit with the same storms. We went from 75-80 degree weather two weeks ago to hail, thunderstorms, and frost at night!

What happened to spring????????

I am sick of raincoats!

None of the pregnant mares got out yesterday except for a short walk. Way too much rain. Nearly 2 inches.

Living only a few miles from Marie, I am certainly in the same situation. Currently all my horses are at a friends boarding stable just a few minutes from home. The pregnant mares are getting close to foaling, the young ones are getting ansty. The only one who doesn't mind is my older seasoned stallion. Hed rather not float away. The paddocks are full of standing water, a water pipe is broken so the arena is kinda out of comission while they fix it.

They stayed in yesterday, so stalls are downright nasty! Today, I have to rotate everyone around long enough to get stalls done. I feel so bad that they cant get out to stretch their legs. Its not so much the rain that bothers them, its that darn windy which sends them straight into the chilly. Brought them in two nights ago, just shaky like leafs.

We got it here too. And SNOW.... And we are on spring break. That USED to mean I could spring clean and clip horses for Sea Tac.

It is about 40 degrees now, and raining. The stalls are gross. And I should have clipped the two I am taking to the show. Let alone hardly have worked them! Oh well what can we do.

i really hate to inform everyone that Spring is NOT in the budget this year. We don't get any spring. In a couple of weeks it will be blazing hot. NO spring. Our state had a problem paying for Fall last year so we went from Blazing Hot to freeze your A## off. Sorry but if you contact your senator we may get our seasons back.
