Ain't that the truth

Typically 1 male and 1 female do best...however in multi dog households I find dog fights tend to reslove and bitch fights don't nearly as easily currently we have 3 males and 2 females ....the one female isn't argumentative in fact she spends most of her time pretending she isn't there

1 of my males is a bit of a jerk and gets jealous but he is way easier to get off another dog than the girl fights I have had in the past.

Most people I know who have 2 lgd's do keep 1 male and 1 female seems to work out quite well.

Amen to that! Even my sweet innocent little Chloe (

) becomes a raging, but tiny, pit bull no matter how nicely she gets along with other females usually. Intoduce food, toy or heaven forbid a bone and it's WW III. Good thing she's little I sure wouldn't want to be between a couple of 80 or 110lb-ers although terriers can do a lot of physical damage when angry. Thankfully we got her a male friend to lord over but he stays as far from her as possible when she's got a possession.
