Our mare "Mahala" had a trouble with her foal. The feet were turned downed and caught on her pelvis. We had the vet out and he was able to get the foal out, but it was too late. The colt was absolutely gorgeous. He was the brightest golden color that I have ever seen on a new foal. He had a light chocolate stripe down his back, with socks, and large blaze. His sire was B&W Gold Dun Boy, a dun son of Johnston's Goldboy. Why is it always the most beautiful or the most anticipateed foals that seem to be the ones we loose or have problems with?
If there is any good news in this, the vet said the mare was fine. I think we will breed her back the same way and see if we can get one just like that one on the ground next year.
