Maddie is at day 343 today and Diana is at 325. Diana is a high risk mare because she's lost two foals because they didn't get out of the sac.

Neither one looks ready to pop, but Maddie is a maiden and I don't trust her signs. :)

THANKS!

Tracy

I'd love to help watch. I'm also watching a mare of my own right now at 326 days.

Looks like my browser is preventing me from downloading the plugin, so I'll have to attempt it when I'm home from work this evening. Hope nothing happens till then - unless you're watching, of course!

I will also be happy to help watch - my first mare due is Whisper she is at 321 days, today - she is also a maiden.

Diana is HUGE - I so hope and pray that this year her baby will be safe.

Maddie just doesn't want to cooperate and make anything easy. She lays down a lot and tends to lay out flat.

She did lose her mucous plug last Wed so in theory (HAHA) she should let go of that foal already! Maddie has a very small bag that tends to come and go so while we're keeping an eye on that we're certainly not counting on anything. You can also call or text 207-745-4351 if you see anything suspicious. Oh, and I tend to scratch her back with the manure fork if you see me doing something weird like that during the day.

Yes.... Maddie lays out flat A LOT!!! All the time. So don't be alarmed unless her legs start shaking... I guess. lol

I don't think scratching with a poopy pick is a weird thing...

Oh and if you see her freaking out at the right corner... that is just me getting ready to feed her. She bounces and paces and sometimes tries to get it herself.... She's a little flakey LOL...

At night I am about 20 steps from the shed where the stalls are.

Gosh, Maddie is really restless - I have been watching her and she was really kicking at her stomach.

She looks and acts soooo much like my Whisper who has had me up numerous times - good thing we LOVE these precious little ones so much and a healthy live foal will make it all worth while.

I would love to help you out with the 2 am to 10 am shift as I am on a different time zone, however when I go to the site it says its unable to get a live stream... so I cant see anything. I will write the name down and check from time to time. I have been watching VandVpaints and minis for almost a week now , the poor girl looks like she is ready to explode.

Lots of luck and prayers for a beautiful and healthy baby.

Hey,

When did Maddie have her foal?? I have been watching so carefully and somehow I missed it - when I went to check this evening here was a baby in with Maddie - I did not see any other thread anywhere on LB but I must have missed it?

Maddie foaled about 12:30 this morning. YAY FINALLY! It's a sorrel colt. It was a tight fit and Tracy had to help her get him out, but he was trying to stand before he was even all the way out. It was probably the fastest I've had a foal stand and he was hopping around and kicking at mom in no time! Maddie's a great mom so I'm very thankful everything is going well. Diana's due in a couple weeks now and probably this weekend Maddie will be replaced with my other black pinto mare...so if you noticed a black pinto mare with no foal it's just a different mare! Will try to get some dry pics posted in the next couple days.
