HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU (yes I am yelling:) ) Being a current nursing student myself, I know how hard you worked to get there!! And having struggles with your health besides, wow, nursing school alone is rough. CELEBRATE, you deserve it.

Shelly, I am SO happy for you! Way to go girl!!!

Congratulations! I have been an RN for 25 years and I can tell you that it is indeed a challenging but rewarding career. The nice thing about nursing is that there are many areas to practice in and it gives you great mobility.....there are always nursing jobs. My husband is a displace timber worker and surprise, surprise, decided that nursing might be a career for him. He was accepted into the RN program this year and has just finished his first quarter. Whenever he gripes and complains about the hard work I have to remind him "been there, done that" and the education process never stops! I would strongly suggest that you look into continuing on for your RN as that would give you even greater career choices, and of course a bigger paycheck. Congratulations again...I know you earned it!!

I have been a Registered Nurse for 15 years. It's a great profession.

Is there a specialty area that you'd like to work?
