I suspect it is a HughesNet problem - we have the same system and went thru a bunch of gyrations last year trying to get MareStare to work - unless you have the "super duper package" from HughesNet you aren't going to get a high enough quality feed to be able to really get MareStare to work - I am not sure why, but all the techy folks know what I am talking about.
You mighy try talking to Erica Killion - she has/had HughesNet also, and did get an "OK" feed. We used to have Clearwire and it worked 150% better than HughesNet - but sadly they changed their system and we can't receive their signal now.
I would call the HughesNet folks and discuss it with them
Good luck - if you get any positive feedback I would really like to know what it takes to make it works, because I am kind of screwed as far as being able to put up MareStare also and I would really like to be able to do so.
