I can see them but they are not moving. Is there a problem still?

Who is in which stall?

There are still bugs I believe but I'm not home right now I have a "student" who you may see around the girls. She's my help at the moment during the day when I need to go out. Once I get everything fixed I will put names to "horse faces" lol

I suspect it is a HughesNet problem - we have the same system and went thru a bunch of gyrations last year trying to get MareStare to work - unless you have the "super duper package" from HughesNet you aren't going to get a high enough quality feed to be able to really get MareStare to work - I am not sure why, but all the techy folks know what I am talking about.

You mighy try talking to Erica Killion - she has/had HughesNet also, and did get an "OK" feed. We used to have Clearwire and it worked 150% better than HughesNet - but sadly they changed their system and we can't receive their signal now.

I would call the HughesNet folks and discuss it with them

Good luck - if you get any positive feedback I would really like to know what it takes to make it works, because I am kind of screwed as far as being able to put up MareStare also and I would really like to be able to do so.

I believe we are going to go ahead and upgrade our package so that we can stream over the net. We will be calling them shortly.

If it works, please let me know what you had to upgrade to -- we have a "better than average" package and it won't work for us.

I will be really happy if you can get it to work with an upgraded package - just hope it doesn't cost an arm and leg because it is not something that you can downgrade after foaling season is over

Please keep us all posted - for those of us living in the "sticks" satellite internet is about the only way we can receive, and there are only a couple of satellite providers.

Tell me about it Stacy - it's hard to find a good company but so far we've been able to have really good service through them so I am hoping this won't be a huge deal. I will definately post on here which package I get - hopefully it will help a lot more people than just me!

Oh and the original problem was indeed a setting that was overlooked by all involved, and once corrected it popped right on!

if you still need help and not an internet service provider issue, My hubby does this kind of thing for a living, I would more than gladly send him your way to help you out, if you wanted him to come take a look at it.

Karen

Cool, what was it? that way we can know what to do if it happens to us:)

I'd bet you a dollar the problem is that you have a satellite (translation.....SLOW) connection...at least very slow compared to what you can get with wi-fi or DSL. I just dumped my satellite connection this week and am amazed at how much better EVERYTHING is now that I have wi-fi / DSL (I can run either/or)
