NEED SOME SHOW ADVISE PLEASE

I'm Thinking about showing my 33" mare in the Halloween Spooktacular Show but can she show in it with her bad teeth or should I just got to whatch.

 

And does she need to have shots to show or just coggins test.

 

I do have another horse I would love to show in it thats about 37" but shes a little pushy still so I'm going to buy a stud chain for her to see if it can give me more control over her.

I have been to many shows and very rarely do I see them actually looking at the teeth or ask that the teeth be shown. I think I have only seen it once. I do not show.

If this is just a fun show and you have your horses all cleaned up, have practiced and ready why not...it will be fun. I do believe you will need coggins even if its in the same state and I would want to make sure her shots are all utd.

I will let the more experienced speek on stud chain for your mare.

Are you talking about the ECMHC Spooktacular? Usually all you need is a negative coggins test-unless the horse is out of state which will require a health certificate. It sounds like its a fun show- so I wouldn't worry about teeth which they would only test if it came to a tiebraker in a halter class but she should be good for jumping,driving, showmanship etc.

ok thanks I'm in texas so I guss i will only need coggin test for them then they are due to get shots again the old owner she told me.

Ok thanks it looks like we mit not go as its going to be my niece birthday and she's going to be 3 on Oct. 29th so we mit go on the 28th to watch not sure yet but if we do go what should i do for there costums for me and my 7 year old cuz.
