Two young (18 & 21) neo-nazis have been arrested in Tennessee for plotting to assignate Barack Obama.

I for one can not even understand someone running for an office if they knew darn well there is a very great risk of them being assasinated. It's almost like a kamikasi (sp) pilot. Like they don't care because they will go down in history as such. It would scare the heck out of me. I would hate to be looking over my shoulder all the time. It's been proven that the Secret Service can't be sure all the time. I don't care for Obama but I certainly wouldn't wish anything like this on him or any human being. Or an animal for that matter.

I am not an Obama supporter but I can certainly see why he is running. There are many people in our nation who are still very racial and hateful towards people who are different then them. Just think of Martin Luther King. What if he would have given up because there was too much risk. Sure he would have lived longer (maybe) but then who would have fought for black freedom? I personally look up to people who have the strength and courage to take a stand and fight for what they believe in.

Instead of being offended that I posted it you might want to consider that we will all be affected if something like this were to happen.

I hardly see this as a Democrat vs Republican issue. It's something we should all be concerned about.

They provide some whackjob with all the justification said idiot will feel he needs... constant lectures about how we need to fear Obama - how the blacks/Muslims/whoever will be allowed to take over the country... how he is cahoots with terrorists and even Al-Qaedah.... it has gotten ridiculous and sad.

I watched an elderly lady being interviewed outside a Palin rally a couple of weeks ago... she was asked about Obama - and when she answered she was so scared that she was trembling. She said he hates white people ... and would allow the blacks to take over everything - and they would take her home away from her and give it to some black people... she read this in an EMAIL. Shame on people for scaring folks like that... shame on them.

This has nothing to do with what people are SAYING about him. They arrested someone too close at Denver and now yesterday. Do you really think this is not seriously to be considered? It very well could have been. Don't close your eyes to the possibilities. I just say I would not want to be in that situation and possibly leave a wife and 2 young children.

This is exactly what I referred to in another post a couple weeks ago...if you do question Obama's affiliations, etc....this is what you are accused of along with being racist. It is obvious he does have affiliations with Wright, Ayers, and others, why would it be small minded hate to question him on what those relationships are? I think the American people have a right to know.

Back to the subject, every president or candidate is at risk because of some idiot, that is why there is secret service. There have been huge plots of assassination discovered/avoided of George Bush in 2005.

Is Obama more at risk than most? Probably. I do not feel it's because of questioning his backround. It is much more simplier than that. He is half black and unfortunately racism does exist in this country, just as it does around the world.

It sounds like these @holes were planning on killing not only Obama but about 100 others...sick! I am thankful they were caught.

Sadly, I wonder if the family of IDOL star in Chicago was not the beginning of these assasinations? Being that she was from Chicago as well as Obama and she sang at one of his democratic partys. That is so sad to kill a whole family And the little boy. When I was at the school yesterday I thought of all those little kids playing and how innocent they are and how a family would feel if it was their child. If one is looking to blame "questioning Obama's past" as why some idiot would try to assassinate him, do you really think that a person who looks at assassination as an option really is one to try to reason with?
