Mona...
I am the same way. I can NOT deprive myself or I will obsess and then really PIG out. If I just have what I want when I want it, then I will "try" to then cut back someplace else. Also, averaging 2 lbs/week loss is MUCH better for you than a huge weight loss all at once...you are on your way to LONG TERM success!!!!
:yeah
I can't wait til I can start up again...
I have lost 15 lbs since Aug 2 after eating myself through our state fair.I have had a weight problem my whole life and NEVER seem to get full.I lost almost 50 lbs in 2008 before Sept 08 knee replacement and kept it off until Sep 09 after my rotator cuff surgery(it was far worse then the knee)I still have about 20 lbs to go til I get back to pre-knee surgery weight. My goal is to have it off by Convention( so I can wear all the pretty clothes I bought in 2008) in Nov in case I get to go(depends on the condition of my Corgi with mouth cancer)I have been on a program used by my neice and several of her buddies at the hospital. It is prepackaged food with high protein and low carbs.Works for me for a while and then I get stuck. If I go off for a day or 2 I can jump start my system again and get rolling.I just REALLY have to watch my intake and not go whole hog.My weakness is salty crunchy stuff and pies cakes etc.Sugar free chcolate candy works for me and sour cream and onion rice cakes(I just have to NOT eat the whole bag)Since my knees and joints are junked, I go walk in the pool for an hour 3 times a week.Bought a treadmill so I get on it in short intervals.Tuesday I am checking out a gym suggested by my chiropractor so I don't get more joint issues from some young jock.Being a senior citizen SUCKS when trying to lose weight and then keep it off.It is much easier when you are young.Back to a big salad for dinner.Lucky I like the healthy stuff like fresh fruits and veggies.Just trashed the rest of the jar of almond butter since I can't leave it alone.Weight loss is much easier in these times since there is so much low fat, no fat, reduced sugar, etc food in the markets.I also drink at least 1/2 gallon of water every day and not much else.Off all prescription meds now except once monthly Boniva for bone issues.I REALLY do feel better when I get the weight off and I know it helps the pressure on the knees.Boy am I rambling!!!
