I have a very close and dear friend that I have known since our boys were just a couple of years old--in fact they were born on the same day just a year apart and they are now in their 30s. I have a younger brother and this lady is like the sister I never had.
Her husband has been in the hospital recovering from surgery and it has been a slow healing process but he is finally making progress. Last night she got the dreaded call in the middle of the night from her son, who is in the Air Force and currently deployed that his house had been broken into and his wife had been raped.
Luckily she was not injured--the rape was bad enough, and their daughter who is just a couple of months old was unharmed. Seems like the person broke in through the basement window.
My friend's son is on his way home and her daughter-in-law was picked up last night by her family and is now home with her family, here in town.
My friend has been my rock over the years helping when I had my first cancer treatment and also with my second. She is there in a moments notice to help me whenever I need her and asks so little in return. This just makes me sick. Her son and daughter-in-law have just been married about 2 years now.
She does come here some, but does not post. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers as they try to heal their wounds and broken spirit. I know that her son is blaming himself for not being home but the duties of the Air Force come first. I know that her daughter-in-law is wondering "Why Me". Please help them get over the hurt, and self blame that is so part of this criminal act. Pray that this CRIMINAL MONSTER is caught and soon, so that he can pay for his actions. I just hope I don't cross paths with him--to me there is no place in this world for a monster like this.
Peace dear friend, I'm there when you need me. Prayers are heard and spirits are healed as you well know for GOD is close at hand.
