:new_shocked: Come on now ,being a good southern lady, I know noone does pc like us southerners. I learned early on "if you don't talk about it it's not so.' And the old velvet glove and the iron fist is so true. How to say something with sugar when you realy mean vinegar. Noone does pc as good as we southerners.

If you are talking of genesis, that is because the Israelites were slaves and oppressed

The Egyptians began to despise them, and the period of their "affliction" (Gen. 15:13) commenced. They were sorely oppressed. They continued, however, to increase in numbers, and "the land was filled with them" (Ex. 1:7). The native Egyptians regarded them with suspicion, so that they felt all the hardship of a struggle for existence.

not gensis, the majority of the old testiment.

This was not at all against the egyptians, this was against the people living in the lands God gave them, he sent them in and told them to kill off every living thing there and they laid waste to a whole region of people.

I can post the quotes I am talking about but it will be a long post.

thanks for getting us back on the subject, I was afraid we were moving off into the religion discussion and thats not what I wanted in this thread

I am only PC absolutely when needed. I am really kinda insensitive I guess, makes me good at my job at the bank...lol being the foreclosure, repo, security guy

I think Gretchen says it best ......."I'm politically uncorrect" , I think that pretty much sums me up too.

Lets start a new political party, the Unpolitically Correct Party....lol

Sounds like a plan to me.....we'll get Gretchen to be the leader of our "politically uncorrect party" and first thing we'll do is mail Xmas cards to every member of the ACLU and write in MERRY CHRISTMAS and sign them IN GOD WE TRUST :risa_suelos: :risa_suelos:

OK Children...

Un-politically Correct is NOT the same as Politically Incorrect so which one do we want to be, when we grow up???

I am plumping for Un-politically Correct as I can then also be politically incorrect at the same time.

(Embarras your children..grow old disgacefully)

I'm not sure which I would chose... is there one where I can offend almost everyone? Even other non-politically correct people? Because I seem to be good at doing that, hehehe.

....on the subject of political correctness, I much prefer for people to say what they think, even if I disagree or find it offensive or if it is totally politically incorrect. It allows me to pick and chose who i want to hang out with and who I want to avoid, for one. All political correctness is doing is making the people with opinions that aren't approved of keep their mouths shut while they go right on thinking the same things.

I think it should be:

Politically Un-correct Party

We can call you PUPs!

:

Politically Incorrect: Someone or something which does not meet a standard of political correctness.

I dont want to have to meet a standard, so I called it un-politically correct party, lets all put our heads together and make a definition for that term...lol

Un-Politically Correct: The act of defying political correctness to speak your own mind regardless of the feelings of the party you are speaking of.
