Hi Marty, so nice to hear from you again. Still in my prayers.

Well this weekend, last of hubbies holidays, and just doing odds and ends. Enjoying my minis and puppies and cleaning

Oh right, going to the race track tomorrow to practice the minis on the track with the pace car.

Thats enough for me. :saludando:

It is our town's big fair this weekend, so yesterday Caitie went to her first parade and tomorrow she'll go to her first fair. All the nieces and nephews are kicking around, too, so it will be a messy weekend full of kids.

For starters, I'll be smiling bigtime because I'm so lucky to know someone as wonderful as you, Marty!

As for my weekend, this is scary to say, but I'm going to my 30th high school reunion!!! How the heck did I manage to get so old??? When did THAT happen??

So I'll be trying to turn myself from barnyard frump into something that won't scare everyone away...someone that won't make my classmates say, "Wow, she really let herself go!" I realized a bit late that that I need to get my hair cut. Too late for a diet. Fortunately, one of my design clients is a great little artsy clothing boutique, and I've gotten some great clothes and jewelry on trade. This is a rare opportunity to actually wear some of it.

And while I'm busy with all of that stuff, I have plans for Keith! He's going to put our new brush cutter to work and start clearing more land for pasture, clearning our road up the hill, and execute some of the blackberry vines crowding into the garden (although hopefully he'll pick all the berries first!)

We also need to move our little hay hut and make room for our new metal storage shed, a gift from my mom and sister. This will allow us to store all the tools and paraphenalia crowding our covered terrace, and let us use that space as our outdoor living room.

Right now, I'm not 100% sure of everything we'll be doing. I may go over to Roxy's (a new mini horse owner in the area) and see her horses on Sunday, and tomorrow I may just be RELAXING and working Mouse on his driving skills.

I need to do some yard work, though, and clean the leather in my truck b/c Monday I'm getting some exterior detailing done and Tuesday getting the carpets cleaned in it. MIGHT just be sorta like new after all o' that.

Oh and Bella decided she is going to be weaned (she refused to go into the upper pasture w/her mom and the other horses, so she stayed on the lower pasture w/Gramma), so probably listening to a baby cry for mom during the day (I'll let them have nights for a while. She IS four months old after all).

Filling out and mailing off my entry for the Central Point AMHA/AMHR show in August...listing some things on Ebay, visiting w/friends and hoping no more of the vehicles decide to need mechanical repair or anything! *LOL*

Good to see ya, Marty, think about you all the time and hope for the best for all of you.

Liz

Marty,

Glad to see this post. I know that it must take a lot of effort to post what you have. Many hugs to you, Jerry, and Dan, and know that I am still holding your family in my thoughts and prayers, and that I am also praying for justice to be served promptly and adequately.

I am not going to do much of anything this weekend. It is so blasted hot here... Tomorrow we tie the record for the number of days in the triple digits. Yippy. So I am planning on staying inside as much as possible and doing nothing. May go to the parents and play the usual game of Pinochle or maybe Canasta on Saterday. May also just go for a ride to see the countryside on Saterday morning as well.

Oh Marty glad to see ya doing things this weekend. Hope the guy ROTS for what he did...grrr

anyways, now that is supposed to cool down here finally this weekend I can do some things outside that I have been wanting to do, but haven't done because 100+ weather doesn't work well with me-UGH

:

So I had bought we some new farrier tools and am going to take another wack at someone's hoovies. I was sick of paying through the nose for farrier bills(this last time was $30. per head-GRRR!) so I am going to slowly learn to trim them myself. I only have 3 to work on
default_yes.gif
: Then maybe clean up the barn a little.

Tomorrow I am going to start to water our plants in the am instead of the pm. I know that watering in the pm is better, but I just have sooooo many things going on in the evening and with this heat and no rain in sight, I thought I would try some am watering. We don't have a very good well, so I have to hand water which takes about an hour and half each day(if it doesn't rain).

Also change the bee traps...ee gads! Then change the filter in the pond pump..better! Hubby works on Saturdays. He is one of the foremans for Habitat for Humanity in Spokane and Saturdays are his busiest days as that's when most volunteers come.

Probably go to the store late Saturday when it cools off...that's about all I think ?

Hi Marty! :saludando: Good to see you posting! :aktion033:

Today we are going to our local Fair. Our boys used to be in 4-H and we like to catch up and talk with our friends from 4-H, and of course eat that great Fair food!

Sunday, my son and I are Nursery Helpers for our Church then I'll work with my Filly more on leading. And of course there is always the house work to catch up on!

Have a good weekend everyone! :saludando:

Just seeing your name on "your" topic put a smile on my face Marty! I'm glad to hear you're doing some "normal" things again. It's so nice that you're taking Michael's girlfriend under your wing!

I have picnic today with our Pinto club and then it's just work horses and clean the barn!!

Marty, I am so glad to see your post and I pray for some closure for you with this court case.

Friday I took my daughter swimming and then went to the baptist camp for chapple and campfire.

Saturday, kind of a lazy day I guess.

Sunday, my birthday, church and then dinner after. That is all...getting ready for a major camping weekend next weekend.

Oh Marty, {{{{hugs}}} to you....

This weekend hubby is headed to Wyoming to pick up our irrigation pipes to bring home (need them more here than there).

I'm making plans for taking in a couple of horses of a very good friend of mine, since she is moving cross country and the new place they bought says that there can only be ONE horse per acre, no matter the size of the horse.
default_wacko.png
: Prices are high so they could only buy just so many acres.

Other than that, I'll just be taking care of the horses, etc, doing a little housecleaning, and trying to stay cool.

Marty

It is super to have you doing this post again. I sure miss you on here. We all

so need you back. The forum is not the same without you. And this post has not

been the same without you either.

We spent yesterday house hunting. We are in the process of trying to sell our place.

The possible buyer, says we should hear something this week, hoping on Monday.

So we spent yesterday looking at couple places, but one had sold. The other is very

nice, but further out. Not as much land as we wanted, but the house is really nice.

So we are just waiting and praying hard we sell this week.

Vicky

:new_shocked: Wasn't on at all yesterday. Have folks in my Covan moving this weekend, so since I'm not able to help with the toating and lifting, [its always Crone get out of the way] I'm keeping the 3 littles, 7,7,and8. They've been a joy as well as a hand full. I usually only get 2 at a time.

Well the girls are coming back today after spending a week in CA with there Grandma and then to there Grandpas house.. Raven will be getting a new pony tomorrow which isnt really the weekend but the transport was delayed a day so was planned for the weekend does that count?

Sorry our last talk was cut short Marty will call you this week
