Just wondering who else is up on mare stare tonight??

I have 2 in stalls.

Not real sure number of days(like that matters LOL) because they were both purchased bred.

One is a 7 year old with her 4 foal, at 320 days, bagged up &jello butt!!

The other is a maiden 3 year old, who is at 340! She is bagged up pretty nice too.

You are not alone. I have 3 in stalls. One looks really ready, 1 looked really ready a week ago and 1 is a maiden with small bag and fluid that expresses easily. Sigh....

I knew I wasn't alone

Just got back in from checking again. Cupcake looks at me over her back like she just wants me to go away and leave her alone. And I sure Nikki thiks I'm just this crazy old lady who likes to look at her butt. :new_shocked:

One at 321 days here. Bagged up but not soft enough in the butt yet. I leave the light on so I can peak out the window and see her in the shed but she has figured out how to hide in all the corners so i have to walk out to see.

Me too..yawnnnnnnn......3 foals on the ground and three any time..with 6 more soon after...if they follow the plan

: Two due any time are fond of sleeping flat out..together, at the same time..for 30-45mins each time....boy is that loud on the TV at 2:30am

We have 2 Quarter Horse mares under cam right now, both could go anytime now and our first mini of the season is just around the corner.......I'm a night owl anyway, so hopefully they won't go in the morning when I like to sleep!

My only mare to foal this year is at 315 days now. Last year she had her first foal right around the 312 day mark with not much sign according to her previous owner. She has been rubbing her butt intensely for nearly a week now, holding her tail out, vulva is red inside, but not much of a bag yet. I'm keeping a close watch on her but hoping she'll hold out at least another week. It is still DARN cold up here!

I have three in the barn, one starting labor right now. Just got back from an hour trip, one way, to the vet with a five day old filly who was taking a turn for the worse. Just did a blood transfusion plus lots of other. Had to leave them there and hope that we make it. It is my favorite so far, of course!

Yup, I'm here too. One acting like she is in labor but she has been acting like it for almost a month! :new_shocked:

I am convinced she read the book, memorized it, and is now using it against me!

Yep I'm here. I have 3 under camera with breeder alerts on. I can usually guess who will be next but these three are playing with me.

: Yesterday I really thought Misty would foal but then last night her daughter (Cocoa) went down and actually pushed a couple of times then jumped up and went back to eating.

: This afternoon after coming in for the night, the third mare (Cinnamon) was down and breathing hard.

Northern California checking in too!

Talk about mares toying with us . . . this one's a champ!

She was totally ready to go on Tues night, but now bag has gotten smaller, and even tho' she has dropped and vulva is relaxed, I'm sure she will play us out for days . . .

This made me laugh!! Its bad enough when you have the tv on to alert you and everytime they move you leap up thinking "A FOAL"!!! (I`m exhausted and only on first 2 marestares out of 7!) You must feel like there is an earthquake with snoring in stereo!!! Hope the babies come soon.

HERE TOO !!

WE'VE HAD A MARE UP FOR OVER A WEEK. ERICA HAS BEEN OFF ON SPRING BREAK THIS PAST WEEK, AND I WAS SOOOOO GLAD SHE DIDNT HAVE IT BEFORE HER BREAK.

BUT OF COURSE SHE HAS HELD OUT ON HAVING IT THIS WEEK TOO !

NOW ERICA GOES BACK TO COLLEGE TONIGHT. I SWEAR THESE HORSES KNOW WHEN I AM GOING TO BE HERE ALONE AND DO THIS TO ME ON PURPOSE !

ERICA AND I BOTH HAVE T.V'S IN OUR ROOMS, SO WE CAN BOTH WATCH THE MARES WHEN WE GO TO BED. GUESS THOSE 2-3 HOURS OF SLEEP A NIGHT WILL START BACK TONIGHT FOR ME.

WISH ME LUCK !

LINDA KILLION

srpwildrose,...Congrats! on your new little one. :aktion033:

I have 3 under camera, one I don't think will foal until mid-April. She's at 310 days, but I have three cameras so I figured what the heck I'm awake anyway why not watch her too.
default_wacko.png
: My other two mares, one is 337 days and she foaled at 340 last year, the other is at 307 days and she foaled at 306 days last year. The two of them do tag team flat out sleeping so they do tend to keep us awake. They both have fluid in their udders, but it's not sticky yet. I'm guessing by Wednesday someone will give up a foal.
