I personally would not like 2 rings at all.

Bob, think about it -- you guys show in a lot of classes & always do VERY WELL. Just try having to keep straight - youth in one ring, ammy or open somewhere else- useing the same horse for both kids & adults-- you will create a scheduling monster for yourself.

Youth could be doing halter while adults are doing performance-- horse not available.

I always say "Be careful what you wish for -- you just might get it".

I , for what my opinion is worth, thnk it actually runs quite well the way it is.

Considering the number of horses competing at AMHR Nationals, it goes pretty smoothly.

No matter when you get home, we all still usually have to work the next day.

Yes, other alternatives may need to be looked at for the future, however the way I see it, it is what it is. Everybody knows the Nationals is a huge show, that yes, does run long. It is a ten day show with plenty of expenses.

It is a 30+ hour drive for us to go to Tulsa. I only really like to show in three areas myself: halter, liberty and driving. This puts me and my family in the show ring from the first Sunday right through to the next Sunday. And when I was a youth, even longer. We just budget our time accordingly. Period.

Stake Championship classes are Just as important as any other class, including the halter championships. And I only miss a Stake if I had to. It is a great class to watch!

I have not been able to go to Nationals in 2009 or 2010 due to college, however, I've taken advanced classes so that I CAN go next year in 2011, and hopefully every year afterwords.

Just curious ...

How many of the folks who are saying it's fine with them for the Stakes classes to be that final Sunday afternoon actually plan to stick around to take part in the Stakes classes?

I haven't commented but I intended to stick around. I've competed in the stakes all three years that I've gone. It's those late night classes (can we say, western is always in the wee hours of the morning - that kill me)
