I just need to brag on our boy Mark.....ok, well, he's a horse boy :bgrin Mark is a Star Skipper son, a yearling gelding. He has been doing awsome in the show ring.

The first show he qualified for World.

The next show he went Amateur Supreme Champion and multiple Champion Amateur Level 2 with niece Cammie and also multiple Champion Jr Gelding.

Then at Wichita he repeated the open Championship and with granddaughter Hailey took 2 firsts and 2 seconds and qualified for World in Youth Gelding and we think made Honor Roll! :aktion033: and that was 12 year old Hailey's first miniature show ever! She was sooo nervous, but she watched some other halter classes to see how it was done and then she showed like a trooper! I'll have a picture of her soon I hope

Here's a pic of Mark made at the Wichita show.

Of course he didn't like the bakcdrop......it made him nervous so he wouldn't stand on both back feet! LOL Silly boy!

p.s. What do y'all think........At birth Mark predicted to mature around 33 1/2+". He is over one year old and measuring 30 1/4". I don't think he'll ever see 32". What do y'all think?

I think he is absolutely gorgeous and you have every right to brag!

Congratulations on your great show year and beautiful gelding! Glad that the entire family is getting in on the fun.

He's beautiful. Congratulations on a great start to a long, successful career for him. Oh, and in my opinion, 30ish as a yearling is about the right area to be to mature at about 32". (Oops, I read your post wrong, must be too early and not enough coffee... I thought you said your initial calculations were that he would be about 32, but now I see you thought 33.5. I think he'll be more in the 32" area, but varying a little wouldn't be that unusual either, so maybe close to 33. I can't see him getting over 33 though.)

Thanks Charlotte..... you made me drool all over my keyboard!!!! ha ha! He is so gorgeous! If I didnt already have 4 geldings and no money to buy another horse, He would be mine!!!!! Sheila

What a handsome young fella! Congrats on the much deserved wins! Bring him to the Iowa Club show in July we would love to have him exhibitited here!

Many spots, is the IA show an AMHA one? That is all we are doing this year...AMHA. Where is it? I miss the R shows, but I don't think we could hold up to the long days and nights with all those classes.........old age you know :bgrin Sure wish they would divide the breeds up again then we could go show like we used to
