Hi all. Went to a seminar and sale at Watseka this last weekend, and picked up something I was absolutely not thinking of getting. Yup, another mini. Had no intention of buying a horse last weekend, or this year for that matter, but this little lady stole my heart.

Her name is CIB's April Sharros (not sure if that last part was a spelling error for showers, lol.)

Here are a couple of fast 'winter wooly' pics from today. I can't wait to clip this little girl out come spring. I'm thinking she'll be close to buttermilk cream body colored, she's so light buckskin now with all the hair. What do you guys think?

I'm looking forward to seeing her once she sheds/gets clipped!!! Congratulations on such a pretty little girl!

Her summer coat will be MORE golden than her winter coat... something to look forward to!!!! I had a GOLDEN buckskin stallion and he was about that shade when he was furry... clipped out white in the winter and gold in the summer. They do change with the seasons.

Wow, Disney, that's cool info. I love the golden buckskins too, I was just going by my blue roan who turns black during the winter, and clips out a beautiful shade of silver blue on the body. So I just figured they all went lighter than their winter woolies.

Gotta love those color things. LOL

Thanks for the welcome back, MidnightStar. It's good to be 'home'.

Thanks everybody for the great comments on our new little girl. She has sure wiggled her lovely way into my heart. What a sweetie she is.

Congratulations and can't wait to see many pictures..Tell us more, how old, trained? Brood mare or show? I'm nosey.

Maxine

LOL@Maxine. Okay, she's a six-year-old granddaughter of Little Kings Starbuck (if anyone has pictures of him, or info on him I'd appreciate it.) She's bred to a hall of fame amhr/aspc stallion (can't think of the first part of his name off hand, and the papers are in my file, but it's something Nestle's Crunch). After she foals out though, I think I'll take her and show her a few times just for kicks. I have always wanted a buckskin on the show string.

:aktion033: Cangratulations Tami, VERY pretty color, and it will be fun to find out what's under all that hair in a few weeks. Kinda like putting a wrapped package under the Christmas tree and just tearing a little corner off the package, isn't it? Are you going to the meeting in Bloomington on Saturday? I'm kinda undecided, it's so nice I should stay home and get some stuff done outside, but????
